As its now become my annual tradition, I’m excited to share with you my latest epic project which I’ve been having fun working on for the last couple of months: A medley of, what I think, are the best covers that I’ve done from 2016-2021. As many of you know, creating vids of me doing covers of my favorite songs is a big passion of mine, which grew tenfold during the lockdown!

It clocks in just under 20 minutes, which, if you think about it, is crazy given that I’ve done close to 600 cover vids over the last 5 years, totaling over 2400 minutes! I know. I know. 20 min is a lot to ask of anyone in their busy lives, but I do believe you’ll really enjoy this if you’re a music fan. Especially because, to make it more interesting, I interspersed live footage of each artist that I put into the medley. Believe me, I get it. Who wants to look at me do covers for 20 minutes? I know I certainly don’t. And that’s why I think you’ll have fun watching this… lots of great live footage!

In selecting the songs that I chose, I tried to cover the gamut of music that I love while also picking ones that I thought were my better performances. Sure, I can play a decent guitar and carry a tune with my voice but what I’m most proud of are all of the different harmonies in a lot of the songs. Watching the vid, its obvious that my biggest influences are The Beatles (and if you haven’t seen the ‘Get Back’ doc, I can’t recommend it any more highly!) and Paul Simon and Genesis (Peter and Phil) but I tried to include everything from one-off hits from the 70’s, 80s, and 90s to iconic rock bands to jam bands to singer songwriters to parodies that I’ve done.

And remember, music always helps us get there!
