Hello! I am a Medical Doctor and a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I’ve been the Vice President of the Middle East Psychological Association (MEPA) since 2017. Professional Colleague and Fellow Member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT). Since 2005, I have been a full member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
I am Lebanese and I live in Lebanon, I speak English, Arabic and French fluently. I earned my Master’s degree in psychology from the American University of Beirut, my Medical Doctorate from St. George’s University School of Medicine, “General Psychotherapy” training at American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and CBT Training at the Beck Institute, Philadelphia, USA. I also attended the Psychopharmacology Master Class at Harvard Medical School.
The most important components of therapy are trust, confidentiality and attunement between the therapist and the client. There is nothing that surpasses the satisfaction of seeing a person feeling better and being part of this process. By “feeling” I am referring to the state of emotions and psychological well-being: To be mentally well before being physically well.
